Sharpe left school at around 3. He only had a few classes that day, which made it easy to escape and to rush down to Turners Falls, Massachusetts where he knew a Catholic Church. Sharpe was not a religious man by nature, but after all the years he'd lived, Sharpe knew that the higher powers tended to have much more information. If there was something going on, they would know about it.
Sharpe parked on the side of the street and got out of his car. He hoped that it wasn't locked but he seemed to remember that it opened at 3pm for confessions and private prayers, which was exactly what he wanted. Sharpe walked in, genuflexed making the sign of the cross and sitting in a back pew. He assumed the position of praying and closed his eyes.
A rapid teleportation happened, and Sharpe's being passed out of him and passed to the plane beyond. Everything looked the same, but it was as though Sharpe were looking at the physical world through a payne of glass. Sharpe sat in the pew as a young man came and sat next to him, "Hello Gabriel."
