It was 8am, and William Sharpe hated 8am's on school days. The students would wander in, slowly, hardly ever on time, and they would be in some form of dress, most of them would be in pajama's. Most distasteful to Sharpe's mind. Sharpe hated 8am's. The students, who found history boring for the most part anyway, would be paying even less attention as they spent most of his hour and a half long class, just waking up. 8am's were even less liked by the students, which made them not care about the subject matter being taught to begin with. 'Whoever the bloody fool was who scheduraled an 8am history class should be taken out and shot.' Sharpe thought as he grabbed the stack of sillibus' and started setting them on student's desks. It was thick, probably thicker than most other history teachers, but Sharpe didn't like to leave anything to chance. He knew how college freshmen were, and he figured that he would solve all his problems by just making everything abundantly clear, so that he wouldn't have to repeat himself more than 3 or 4 times.
8am's were the worst, the bane of Sharpe's complicated existance.

Kelly Williamson stumbled out of bed as her alarm clock went off. She sighed as she got dressed and cursed as she looked at the time. Her room mate, looked as though she'd already been up for quite some time. She now sat on her bed with a plastic hot air gun pointed at her long, flowing red locks. What seemed to irritate Kelly most about her was that there seemed to be this glow to her pale skin. Kelly had to work at being that pale, and most of the time it didn't work out all that well for her, but her room mate seemed to have it naturally.
Kelly grabbed her bag and shoved her books in it before grabbing her ipod and blaring "Three Days Grace" into her ears as she walked down the hallway of her new college. The halls were crowded for 7:42 on a Monday morning, but then again people would need to be finding the rooms their 8am's were in. Kelly hated 8am's, especially a history class. BORING! That would be the last time Kelly would let her mother pick her schederal for her.
As Kelly walked, she bumped shoulders with a slightly Asian looking young woman with dark hair. Kelly shook her head as she walked back, 'Fuckin' Bitch.' Kelly thought harshly as she walked down the hall to the soda machine. She dropped in a few coins and pressed the button only to have the machine blink "Sold out" at her.
"What the fuck!?" She snaped, louder than she'd planned, "It's fucking seven something in the morning, you faggots can't be drinking that much coke this fucking early." She pushed the return button and the coins fell out. She shook her head grabbing them as she stormed down the hall, past both the dark haired girl, as well as her prissy room mate. Today was going to be a great day... not.

Sara slammed her hand against the alarm. She turned to look at it. 7:30 a.m. She hated whoever thought of such a stupid idea making morning classes. She stood up looking at her roommate. Lucky Bitch, she thought. She hated mornings and she hated history even more than that. She grabbed her books, and shoved them into her bag. Walking out she looked down trying to reconfigure her ipod touch.

As she walked she slammed into another girl. Her eyes flashed with images of her with this girl and a red haired student. They were laughing about something. The world flashed back to her. She shook it off. as she heard the girl yelling about soda. She felt angry that she was so emotional over something so stupid. She shoved her ear bud into her ears and wandered off as Shinedown began paying.

Christine moved the hair dryer loosely in her hand, letting it's warm breezes falling on her straight red hair. Christine's hair was not always straight, in fact it rarely was, however this morning it was, and Christine was glad of it. Her concentration had only been broken once, as her room mate rather abruptly stormed out of the room plugging her headphones in all the while.
Christine, while finding this odd, continued on with her morning routine. She was already dressed. Her clothes fighting snugly to her body, but not excessively tight. She wore dark blue jeans, simple and informal enough for an 8am class, she'd thought, and her top was covered by a white shirt that came to a "V" in the center, but not low enough to expose any of her flesh. The white of her shirt, only added to the pure paleness of her skin. Goth girls had envied her skin for as long as she could remember. They would spend hours powdering their skin to get the same effect that Christine got naturally. Christine had tried to tan, but found it impossible, and so she had come to love her pale skin. She picked up a small square tube and pulled it's top off. After several twists a red stick popped out of the top of it. Christine pused her lips and the red stick traced around her lips, making them a bright red. Not blood red and not scarlett but true red. This was made even bolder by the paleness of her skin.
Christine grabbed her bag and a small pile of books which set on her desk, and after a moment's spot check, she walked out of her dorm room and towards Morrison Hall where her first class was.
Christine didn't mind 8am classes. She valued her sleep, but she valued her education more, and while the two walked hand in hand, Christine would take 8am classes if needed.
As Christine walked into the hall, the hallways boomed with the shouts and laughter of the students. Some of them were returning upper classmen, while others were freshman trying to find their way around campus.
Christine pulled her schedural out and looked at it for a moment before her face snapped up as she heard someone shout and swear down the hall. Christine's head began to pound as a wave of anger and unhappiness flooded the school, and everyone seemed just a little more irritable because of this one girls' anger.
Christine stood silent for a moment before pocketing her schedural and walking down the hall towards her first class.

Sarah made her way into the classroom. She noticed the redhead from her vision sitting in the second row. She made her way to the third row. She was curious as to who this girl was, but she knew she couldn't force the vision to be true. She tried that as a child and it only changed the futures that she had seen.

She sat down and readied herself for the class. Grabbing a pen from her bag and placing all of the books she needed on her desk. She really hated history but she hoped that she could enjoy this class. She had heard that the teacher was really good at what he was doing, she only hoped he was somewhat lenient.

Sharpe had been writing notes on the board, that were to be copied down, as his students trickled into class. They sat two to a table, and he could hear them getting out their various writing implaments, and their notebooks. Sharpe's hearing was good. He would even tell what writing tool each student had by the sound it made when they set it on the table. Finally he sighed and turned around, "Alright everyone..." His voice trailed off, as his blue eyes fell on the young red haired girl sitting in the center of the second row. He stared, he couldn't help it. He almost thought he was going to cry, but he managed to right himself, and much to the relief of his students who were beginning to look at him a bit strange now.
Sharpe cleared his throat, "Alright everyone. Now if you look I've placed a copy of the sylabus for this class on the desk prior to your arrival." His accent was obvious, and thick, but it didn't make him unclear. In fact his diction was perfect, and his words as clear and presise as any, "I'm not going to take time to go over them and read each line like some of your teachers will. I'm assuming most of you are at least educated enough to read." He smiled, letting his class know that he was laughing with them, not at them, "I will point out several important issues that are covered, first of all. The grading criteria. You will notice that you have a total of three essays that will be due in this class. I want you to note how much each of these are worth." He paused, "Now look at your Mid-term and your final. Not as much. The papers, ladies and gentlemen are the meat of this course." He started walking in the front of his class, "Anyone can study for a test and even do well, without truly knowing the material being tested. Papers on the other hand make you think much deeper into the topic and time period you are discussing..."

As Sharpe went on, Kelly began to lose interest, 'God, not even five minutes into this friggin' class and the fucker's boring the shit out of me already." She leaned her head on her arm and began doodling on her sylbus. Despite the fact that she was just doodling, the designs she was working on, were simply amazing. The detail was profound for a simple doodle. She looked around. More and more people seemed to be losing interest, but she didn't think much of it. She went back to her doodle, content to spend the period not paying attention.

Christine had caught her teacher's glance, but had thought nothing of it. She had merely smiled, combed a piece of hair behind her ear and looked down at her papers. It had been an awkward moment, but Christine was used to be looked at. Though Sharpe's gaze had been a bit... more one of a fond memory, than one of an adoring, hormone driven male, it had still thought Christine a bit strange.
Christine started reading the sylibus as Sharpe talked about it, and as he discussed the purposes behind the heavilly graded research papers, Christine read them. The topic's seemed pretty open, and free for choice, but Christine wondered what the limit was. He seemed like a kind man, and she could feel the love and adoration beaming off him as he'd stared at her.
There was something about him that seemed so familiar, but nothing that Christine could put a finger on, and that was the only thing that bugged her.

Sara stared taking down the notes, as she listened to him talk about the syllabus. She hated doing this but she knew her parents would be pissed if she didn't do well. She had always done well in school even when she hated the subject, her parent came from money, but they expect her to earn her own keep, she wouldn't get any of it until she learned how to keep herself in a stable position. She disliked it, every bit of it but she knew it was probably for the best.

Plus her dance classes would take up lots of time so she had to make all of her studying for this class was a simple as possible so she could worry more about her ballroom class. Ballroom was all about perfection and steps, it was more work than it should be but she wanted to go professional, so she could teach others. So she would do anything to fulfill that dream.

"...Now, the second point I'd like to go over is my late work policy. Please note, there isn't one." Sharpe said plainly, "I do not accept work late, ever! Especially papers. You will have a small paper, most likely a reactionary paper due every week. These will be one page and will most likely be a response to a reading that you did that week, or a video that we watch here in class." Sheridan continued walking, but he couldn't get the strange, wrenching feeling out of his stomach. He knew the red haired girl from somewhere. She was such a perfect duplicate of his long lost love, that it pained him to even look at her. He wanted to. He wanted to just stare at her for hours on end, but at the same time, each glance was like a knife of pain through his heart. "Don't start freaking out just yet. The papers only have to be a page to a page and a half long, with one point five spacing."

Kelly jotted down a few side notes, mostly about the weekly papers, but in all went back to her doodling. She'd grown up in a hard life. The world she'd come from was cruel, unforgiving, and now that she was being expected to actually do work, Kelly resented it. It wasn't that she was lazy, or uncapable of doing the work, it was that Kelly didn't want to. She was a very angry girl. She felt the world owed her something and she was going to get her pound of flesh out of it, one way or another.
Soon she found herself tapping the back of her pen lightly as Sheridan rambled on. She was aware of the black-haired girl's stares. She couldn't figure out what the girl wanted. Her eyes seemed to be darting from her, to Kelly's red-haired room-mate. Kelly decided to stop paying attention and went back to her doodles. This was just another class to her, with papers, and grading and everything.

Christine, too, felt a strange feeling. While Sharpe's was longing and sorrow, Christine's was ramped curiocity. She seemed to more and more sure that she knew her teacher, but reality she'd never met Sharpe before in her life.
Christine put the thought of it out of her mind as she jotted down Sharpe's comments about the papers as well as where the essay topics might have been coming from. She found it particularly interesting when Sharpe even offered that they could use his lectures as topic's for their paper if they could site it properly. It was a daring move for a teacher, bearing his throat to the hungry teeth of an 8am class. An 8am class, she could tell, was irritated and unruly.

Sarah fidgeted slightly as she listened. she could tell it was gonna be a ruff semester, between a constant need to practice and the weekly papers, she was already booked, leaving almost nothing for time to herself or to socialize. Although, she didn't mind too much. She was never one for socializing, as her gift always got in the way.

She tried to ignore it, to have the normal life of a teenager, to date, go out to movies, party once and a while. Only problem was between knowing a guy was going to dumb her, or a friend was gonna leave, or just plain feeling awkward cuz she knew something was gonna happen, it just never worked out. So in the end she gave up trying, now she stays to herself. She knew it was stupid to ignore the social world around her, but it was the only way she knew to keep all the awkward moments and mind splitting head aches that came with some of visions. She pushed thoughts of high school from her mind to continue listening to the teacher. She looked at her watch, realizing that she had let her mind wader for nearly 20 minutes. She looked at the board hoping that she hadn't missed too much.

"...And finally, and most important, so all of you who have been day dreaming thus far, pay attention." Sharpe continued, "Attendance. Attendance in this class is mandatory. Unlike most of your classes, I do not give you two free days. You will be here, every morning. This class has too much material for anyone to be missing it. However, neither am I unfeeling. If you become ill durring the course of the semester, I will do my best to accomidate you, however, you will have to provide a note from either your doctor, or health services." He looked at his students, trying to keep his eyes off Christine for fear of the pain in his heart becoming too much, "Does everyone understand this?"

Kelly nodded along with the rest of the class. 'Figures.' She snarled in her mind, 'No sick days. Well I guess I'm stuck here then.' Kelly went back to her doodling as Sharpe told the students to take out a piece of paper and jot down what was written on the board. It was a series of words, mostly words of freedom and equality, and things that Kelly had been hearing preached in boring history classes since junior high. She sighed, writing all of them down, and then waiting for her teacher to explain.

Christine, for some reason or another, couldn't help but find the teacher facinating. She lightly scoled herself, but the thought that she might know him plauged her mind. It was like a long lost memory resurfacing. She couldn't explain it. Everything about him seemed familiar, his voice, his mannerisms, even the way he looked and moved. It all was as though she'd known him once.
Upon command Christine began jotting down the words, and was among the first to be looking back up at the front of the class awaiting the explination of these words. While her fellow students continued to write, Christine slipped her sylabus into one of the pockets of her note book before once again looking up and awaiting instruction.

Sara ignored the words on the board as she had already written them down at the beginning of the class. She watch the class as they wrote with their heads down. She watched the red head in front of her curiously. She noticed each time her lips curled up slightly as if to smile, the way she waited silently for instruction, yet not impatiently like the other students in the class.

She turned her attention to the dark hair girl she had bumped into earlier. She could see the frown on her face, as if every moment was torture. She turned say to look at the teacher. He was strict, yet he seemed to be a nice guy. As she watched she realized she spent everyday doing exactly this, observing the world. Never interacting, always watching from afar. She snapped back into the world as Sharpe began to speak again.

"Right, now what you're going to do is to write a one page free-write about what those words mean to you." Sharpe continued as he saw more and more faces look up towards the board and him, "Just anything. Whatever comes to mind." Sharpe knew that half their answers would be crap, but the other half might be worth something. His whole aim in this exercise was a lead into the the pilgrims and the founding of the colonies. From which he could proceed into the American Revolution. It was a time Sharpe knew well... all too well.

Kelly sighed as she looked down at a piece of notebook paper and started to write. The words meant little to her, though she tried to put some profound meaning into them. It wasn't that she didn't care, which most of the students in that class were guilty of, it was that she never gave it much thought. She knew that all the things on the board; Religious Freedom, Ideology, Patriotism, Equal Rights, all of that were dreadfully important and she understood the fact that many many people had died to give her the rights and freedoms she enjoyed. She honored those people. She knew that their sacrifice was one that she could never understand unless she joined the military, but as she sat down to start writing she started to think that perhaps she didn't think enough about those words. That is what she started her paper on.

Christine thought for a minute. She could feel Sharpe's longing, his heart-ache and knew that it must have been terrible for him. The feeling preoccupied her. She focused on it, pitied it, and felt it. She didn't know how she could do it, but she could. She sat staring at the board for several long minutes before she finally was able to break herself from the day-dreaming thought train that had been lost on and brought herself back to her paper.
She stared at the piece of paper, and started writing. She wrote things about sacrifice and loss. She wrote about suffering and how the people who had fought to earn those rights had suffered, how their family's had suffered. Normally Christine wasn't this dark, or this emotional in her writing, but the feelings she was picking up from Sharpe tranferred themselves into her writing.

Religion, Freedom, Ideology, Patriotism, Equal Rights? Sara thought. She wrote each word down at the top of the paper in front of her. She thought about those words for a moment before bending over her paper. There was a tap at her shoulder, and with it her head slammed with a pounding pain. Her eyes closed as flashes of someones life hits her in waves.

She saw a car coming straight at her. She could feel it slamming into yet she couldn't move or make a sound in this state. Her eyes flashed again she was looking down a children that were surrounding her. She could see the wheel chair beneath an older mans; she could see where their legs ended in stumps.

She snapped back to the real world, to her a boys voice behind her asking her for a pen or pencil. Normally she'd be pissed that someone didn't bring the simplest of things to class, but she felt sorry for this person. She handed him the pencil on her desk that she was not using. She turned back to her paper when it hit her. The person she just handed the pencil to was very young compared to the man she had seen in her vision. Something was wrong, she had never seen more than a year into someones future; why had she seen so far into his.

She pushed these thoughts from her mind, so she could write her paper. Her head was still pounding as she began to write. freedom? she though, What about my freedom to to not know what will happen? She began to us her paper as a rant about how people suffered everyday, how religion counteracted freedom. How equal rights are not always equal. That in the past people have always ended up having just a few come out on top of all the others. And while they basked in their glory the people they left in the dark abyss of not knowing were suffering. Yet more than ever she wanted to be one of those people, the one who know nothing. She wanted freedom from knowing what was to come, and what it meant.

She knew its was probably a horrible paper as it was all just a rant, but she need to get it out there. She need to be free of her annoyance so she could get on with her day.

Sharpe had been leaning back in his chair, letting his students do their writing. His mind seemed free, until he felt a wave of energy hit him. He felt as though it would knock him backwards out of his chair. He sat up and scanned his class, trying to figure out where such a power spike could have come from. His eyes slowly turned to a deeper blue as they came to rest on a black haired girl. He looked at her as she held her head as though she was having a headache. He focused on her for a moment before gently closing his eyes and re-openning them. His eyes were back to their normal color, but a question remained in his mind, how was this girl able to produce such an energy spike? It was a question that for now would have to wait.
Sharpe looked up at the clock, and noticed that several minutes had gone by. He leaned back in his chair, the question still bothering him, but it would be a question that would have to wait until later. For now he would give his class another minute before getting their attention again and continuing on with the day's discussion.

Christine's head shot to the side as she searched the room, her blue eyes scanning every person for the one responcible for giving her such a head-ache! It was brought on by a wave of emotion that had hit her. Fear, anticipation, sympathy, all these feelings hit her in one massive wave. She tried to focus, but as she knew that she wouldn't be able to. Her mind was realing and she couldn't figure out why this wave of emotions had been so powerful.
Christine had long ago come to accept her gift, as a minor fluke of her humanity. She was always a kind hearted person, and felt sympathetic towards others, but part of this had been bred of a strange knowledge of what people were feeling. It seemed whatever people were feeling, Christine felt. She'd never been able to explain it, and she was never able to understand it fully, but she had accepted it.
Finally, out of desparation, she put her head down and waited for the teacher to start lecturing again.

Kelly felt something, but she didn't know what it was, and it didn't affect her in the capacity it affected the others. She continued on with her paper, and when she was done, she flipped a few pages back in her notebook and continued her doodling. A male student leaned over and seemed to be admiring her drawings. She looked at him, "You got a friggin' problem?" She asked sharply, "Keep your eyes on your own fuckin' papers." With that she turned back to her work as the boy seemed to shrink away from her, which is just what she wanted.

She drained her mind of the thoughts but the splitting head would go away. It was the strongest vision she had every had, and she knew it would take awhile for the pain to wear off. She turned every part of her focus towards the board.

Sharpe stood up, "Alrighty everyone. Let's get our attentions back up here." He paused while everyone stopped writing, "Now. Let's hear what some of you came up with for answers. There's a particular reason I put these phrases and words up on the board. I want to see if you guys can figure out where I'm going with this." He looked around, "YOu, what's your name?" He walked over to his desk and picked up his class roster, "The one with the black hair."

"Kelly." Kelly responded looking up at the teacher.

"Alright, Kelly." Sharpe replied, "What were some of the things you came up with?
    "

Kelly picked up her paper, "I just talked about how they are all values that seem to have become clouded in the modern world, and that a lot of good men and women have died for them." Kelly looked at the teacher, hoping that her answer was good. She had worked hard on it, but she wasn't sure if that's where Sharpe wanted the students to go.

Sharpe nodded, "Alright, forgotten morals and sacrifice. That works to a point." He paused, "But not exactly what I was looking for. Who else. How about the young lady in the second row there. What'd you come up with?"

I kinda went a different direction." Sara said. "I just talked about how they are all valued but in reality there not truly there today. Im mean we have freedom, but religion restrict it, granted its all by choice. I also looked as equality and how we all want it be in reality there is always someone who comes out on top." She smiled slightly. She knew her ideas were good points, but she also knew it would have nothing to do with where he hoped things would go.

"Religion being strict, go into more detail." Sharpe said, "Tell me more." Sharpe leaned back against the front of his desk, and crossed his arms waiting for the student to respond.

"Well, for example certain religions restrict a persons right to a sexual relations with others. They can also restrict who a person marry or even date. Such as Jehovah witnesses, they can't date outside the religion, I'm not saying its wrong, these people choose the live this way. They also choose to not celebrate common holidays, like Christmas, even to the point where they can't except gift from friends." Sara explained. "Plus there the whole middle east where women can't show any part of their skin. I mean seriously if i want to worship god, should I do it in a way that honors me as well as him. We're supposed to me made in his image so would honoring our selves and our body and mind, honor his as well? It's just something I don't think people really think about these days. Most of the time they just do what they're told to do."

"A very good point," Sharpe replied, "And I'll get to why in just a moment." He looked around, "Alright, one more. You in the back, what did you come up with?"

The student sat up, "Um, well I just wrote about how all those things are protected in our constitution and stuff."

Sharpe had been waiting for the obvious slacker, and in his mind, he'd just found him, "And I don't suppose it crossed your mind that those things that are protected in our constitution, had to origionate somewhere, and they had to make their way to this country somehow?"

    The kid sat dumbfounded.

"I thought not." Sharpe replied briefly, "Now... What I wanted you to think of is connect all these principles, and rights, and ideologies with those who came to this country, seeking many of the things you see on this list. Religious freedom, just as one of our students said. While you said that you think the church is too strict, many people back then thought that it had grown lavish and too loose with it's rules. That's how we end up with the Puritians. They came here because they felt the Church of England was too lax in their rules. Maryland was given to Lord Baltimore and made into a safe-haven for Catholic's fleeing England." Sharpe pulled down a map of the origional thirteen colonies, "Each one of these colonies has a story in how it was founded. Some of them were founded by religious refugees, others were founded for exploration and bragging rights, like Virginia. While others were formed by radicals who fought against the extablished system, like Rhode Island and Conneticut. These principles were not just what founded our country in the sense that they were put into our Bill of Rights, they were the very motivations that drove our fore-father's to come to this country in the first place!"

Kelly took a few notes, but once she saw that Sharpe was venturing off into the land of Pocohantus and the Pilgrims, she lost interest. Ever since she was in grade school it was all she'd heard when it came to early US History. The only piece of new information was about Maryland, but even that had no interest to her. Kelly didn't care how the colonies were formed, or why, the important thing to her was that they had been, and now she lived in the byproduct of their establishment. With that in mind, she went back to her doodles.

Christine sat fixated. As she listened to Sharpe the strangest thing happened. Her mind began to show her images of a colonial city. What she didn't know was that they were memories. But the question was... memories of what? Wherever the colonial city was it was French. Christine tried her best to clear her head of the images as she jotted down copious notes as to what her teacher was discussing. She knew that Sharpe had a great knowledge of the subject matter, but she had no idea that deep deep down.. she had it too.

Sara smiled to herself. She was quite happy that she had had an answer that was appreciated by the teacher in front of others. She'd always been a higher achiever in school, yet it still heighten her excitement when she was shown appreciation in public. It was probably because her gift made her less likely to out into the social world, but she didn't care.

Sharpe looked at the clock. It was nearing the end of the period. He sighed. Time went so quickly when he was teaching. He looked at his students for a moment and his eyes fell on the red-head once again, "Alright let me call the role. For homework," Sharpe started as he walked over to his desk, "I want you to read chapters one and two in the Lirin book. It'll get you up to speed for our next discussion." He picked up the paper, "Alright. Let's see who we have stuck in purgatory this semester." He started reading off names.

Christine's head pounded. There was still a lot of emotion coming from that one girl, and she was picking up so much anger from another girl in the class, but she didn't know which one, or who it was, all she knew was that they were giving her a monstrous headache and she was getting tired of it. It was unusual for Christine to feel any sort of anger or annoyance towards people, but she was and she couldn't explain why.

Sharpe continued to read off names, "Christine Dawson?" He looked up waiting for a response.

Christine almost didn't hear him but she looked up, "Here." She said in her soft angelic voice. No one had heard her speak thus far, but her voice was soft, and sweet, and had the slight hint of a french accent in it.

Sharpe froze, he thought he almost felt a tear come to his eye as he looked at her and heard her speak. A lump grew in his throat and his stomach was doing knots. He looked back down at the list, clearing his throat but his voice still caught on the next name.

Christine could tell he was mourning. It had been unclear why he had such feelings of saddness and remorse before, but now Christine knew it. He was mourning the loss of a loved one. Christine couldn't tell if it was a sister, a wife, a mother, or who it was, but all she could surmise was that she must have reminded him of her. She felt sad, and helpless, helpless that she couldn't do anything to ease his pain.

Sharpe continued reading the list, "Ok, and um... Sara Reynolds?" He looked around.

"Here." Sara said. She waited quietly for him to finish the list.

Sharpe continued down the list, through the S's and the T's, "Kelly Williamson?"

"Here." Kelly said, not sounding at all enthusiastic in her response.

Sharpe finished the list shortly after, "Alright, so on your way out if you'd just drop your free writes on my desk I'll have them back to you next class. They aren't graded, I would just like to see what you all said." Sharpe sat down at his desk as the students put their things away and began bringing their papers up to his desk.
The students were a usual batch of jocks, and geeks, and nerds, and girly-girls, and so forth. It was nothing that surprised Sharpe. He'd been teaching for so long that he'd come to expect such a class. Nothing surprised him anymore.

Kelly put her notebook away and slung her bag over her shoulder before walking up and putting the paper on Sharpe's desk. Their eyes met for a moment and Sharpe could tell she had had a rough life, though he couldn't tell the details, and Kelly was just as happy that way as she fumbled with her ear-buds and put them back into her ears as she headed for the art studios.

Christine put her backpack up on one shoulder and fluffed her hair out from underneath it. She grabbed her paper and walked up to where Sharpe was sitting. She held out her paper and as Sharpe took it their hands gently touched. There was something familiar about it all, and as Sharpe gazed at her, she could have sworn his eyes became a deeper, truer blue than they normally were. The world seemed to slow around them, and in the brief moment, she felt at ease, as if she knew what was going on, but that was impossible.
After what seemed like minutes, but was only a couple of seconds Christine smiled sweetly and headed out the door of the room, leaving Sara next in line.

Sara stepped up her paper in hand. She looked forward towards the dark haired girl that was now at the door. It seemed strange that she would be laughing with this girl one day. She'd never had friends, least none that stuck around for long. As she thought, Sharpe took the paper from her hand, brushing her fingers slightly as he pulled it away from her.

She yanked her hand away, slamming it against her temples. She felt like someone had just shoved red hot pokers into her brain. She fell to the floor in pain, holding her head tightly. She shut her eyes quickly trying to make it stop. She ground her teeth harder as her eyes seared with bright light.

She began to make out figure, but she was seeing them from behind. She could see huge bright beautiful wings spread out gracefully. Red hair flowing softly down the figures back. She could feel the warmth, the light, and as she watched longer, love. A deep love that only came from two people that were hopelessly and truly in love.

She could see her teacher beyond the figure, he was whispering something that she couldn't make out. Then her head slammed backwards into the desk. although she couldn't hear herself she let out a yelp of pain.

Sharpe snapped up out of his desk, "Bloody hell." he wispered. His eyes grew bluer as he rushed around to the other side of the desk, "Sara! Sara!" He snapped. The power that he felt was incredible. Something was happening, and he couldn't figure out what. The students gathered around looked strangely at her, like she was insane. Sharpe looked up, "Someone run over to health services! GO!" He snapped.

Christine dropped her bag and rushed over, her head, too, feeling as though someone had driven a spike through it. When the initial shock of it hit she was almost brought to her knees. She looked over and rushed to the side of her teacher, as she got control of the pain. As she arrived Sharpe looked at her and she was taken slightly aback. For the first time she could actually see his teeth, and the sharp kanines frightened her slightly.

As Christine gazed, frightened of her teacher, Kelly ripped the earbuds out of her ears. A piercing pain had shot through, as though her music was too loud. As she looked up, she too could see the eye color change, and the teeth, "No fucking way." She whispered stepping out of the crowd.
