Re: Is it a sin to seek the truth...
Sara sat her eyes closed. She was trying to focus her mind on Christine. She had done it once but it was completely formed into something she would be able to use too soon.

Kelly sat in the library flipping through books to do with evil, and darkness, and theology, and so many other related topics, trying to find something that would fit the bill for what Sharpe had described.

"time to go." Christine stopped Sara. She grabbed her things, as her and Sara headed out the door.

Kelly sat at a table which was now burried in books. She leaned back in her chair and read through another one waiting on the other two.

"Things here and there, but nothing conclusive. We're looking for a child of Satan" Kelly explained, "But everything I've read it's not Mememnoch. I've come across things here and there of a daughter, but nothing solid. Old wives tales and ledgends, that's basically it."

"So we basically still have nothing?" Sara asked in more of a statement. "We may have to use or gifts, to get close enough to find out who she is. But I'm not sure its a good idea."

"Well not nessisarally." Kelly replied cleverly, "Check this out, on several occations when it mentions the daughter of Lilith, Queen of the Succubai, it says that she is often followed by a large shifting creature." Kelly looked up from her book, "I'm not sure what all that means, but it could be a clue."

"So< how do we determine what shifting creatures exist. Books certainly aren't gonna tell us." Sara asked. "We could ask Sharpe. When do we meet again?"

"We've got class tomorrow, and then one of our meetings that night. I'd save it for at night. He may let us know what's going on then."

"I wouldn't count on it, but we can at least ask about shape shifters, find out which ones really do exist." Sara said. "We could make a check list of all the ones books tell us about, and use that to determine our questions."

"Sounds good. Have a seat and grab a book." Kelly said, "Those ones over there are pretty much friggin' useless."

"Christine grabbed a pile of four books and set them on the table. "Course there always just the generic shifter. And probably werewolves, since they usually come hand in hand with vampires."

"Werewolves and Vampires are easy! There's volumes on them. Most of them they hate eachother but there's a couple accounts of them getting along." Kelly responded, "I've stumbled across some stuff, but it's hard to disern the Werewolves from the shifters at times."

"Well, werewolves only shift on the full moon cycle, or is that different from what we are told.

Re: Is it a sin to seek the truth...
The three of them dug into their books and started their notes. To most people they looked like a small study group studying for a theology class.
It must have been close to an hour before Kelly started to feel that same anger that she'd felt when the blonde girl had come into their class. She looked around, looking for her, but couldn't find anyone. The only person within sight of her was a young girl with dark hair, not that unlike her own. Something wasn't right.

Sara paused. She looked up at Christine and Kelly. "Should I do it?" she whispered.
Illyria walked past the girls to a shelf. This was just too much fun, taunting them. She knew they knew, but it was fun anyways.

Kelly glared at the young woman, "I'll do something." She muttered, but managed to nod slightly.

Christine took Sara's hand hoping it might help her some.
"Sara closed her eyes. She dug down inside herself. And pulled at the power that she could sense from the dark haired girl. It was gonna take a lot of effort and power on her part and she knew it. This was different than trying to focus on a willing subject.
Illyria could feel the power in the room growing stronger, and it tasted good on her lips. One of them was using their ability, she would have to find out which one. She had thought that going after Kelly, the darker one, would be easiest but now she was unsure of her plans.

Kelly closed her eyes, and buried her anger. She slowly, almost without knowing it reached out and grabbed Sara's other hand. Instantly she felt the power surge through her. It almost shot her back in her chair. She glared up at the young brunette girl, her eyes became extremly blood-shot to the point where they looked red where they should have been white. It was unlike anything she'd ever felt before, and she liked it.

Sara could feel the build up of power surging through them. Her eyes fill with what felt like fire. She could hear screams, even though no one was making any noise. There were flashes of people suffering and a tall red headed woman. And... She opened her eyes and looked at the others. "I saw Him." She said. "Satan."

Kelly let go of Sara's hand and glared up at the dark haired girl, "Fuckin' bitch!" She swore quietly wanting nothing more than to jump over the table and start beating her, but she knew she couldn't do that. She would have to wait, and bide her time.

Re: Is it a sin to seek the truth...
What she hadn't told them is that she had seen that there was some kid of history between her and Sharpe. He knew her somehow. "I have to go see Sharpe. I have questions." Sara said. "Don't do anything rash."
